Description

Commune of Buttons ABC Chardonnay 2021 is a Chardonnay from Basket Range in the Adelaide Hills, South Australia.

Basket Range is a high, cool pocket of the Adelaide Hills and the home of a cluster of small, low-intervention producers, Commune of Buttons among them. Chardonnay grown at that altitude is picked earlier than in warmer parts of the state and keeps more natural acidity. What the ABC in the name stands for, and how this bottling differs from the straight Chardonnay, is not explained in the material supplied.

Expect a dry, taut Chardonnay with citrus and white stone fruit and a savoury finish rather than tropical fruit or heavy oak. Serve at 10 to 12 degrees with oysters, grilled fish, roast chicken or a soft cheese.

*Every effort is made to ensure the current vintage is accurate; however, variations can occur. If you are after a specific vintage, please contact us prior to ordering.
