Commune of Buttons Eurilla Pinot Noir 2025

Commune of Buttons Eurilla Pinot Noir is a high-altitude Pinot Noir from the Piccadilly Valley.

The Challenger vineyard sits at elevation in the Piccadilly Valley, the coolest and highest part of the Adelaide Hills, where Pinot Noir ripens slowly and keeps its acid. A small portion of whole bunches went into the ferment, and the wine matured on lees in seasoned barriques, so no new oak sits over the fruit. That approach runs right through the Basket Range cellar Jasper Button works from: little intervention, gentle extraction, and time on lees doing the work that additions might otherwise be asked to do.

Light-framed and red-fruited, with the savoury, spiced edge whole bunches bring and tannins kept fine and unobtrusive. Serve at 14 degrees, or cooler on a warm evening. Roast chicken, charcuterie, or a beetroot and walnut salad.
