Description

Copain Tous Ensemble Pinot Noir is a fragrant, light-bodied Californian Pinot Noir with fine tannins and fresh acidity.

The name is French for 'all together', which fits a range built by blending several vineyards to show the house style at an accessible price. Founder Wells Guthrie, who learned his craft in the Rhône, set up in Sonoma County in 1999, focusing on cool sites in the Anderson Valley and on the coast. The winery joined Jackson Family Wines in 2016. A portion of whole clusters goes into the ferment and older French oak lets the fruit lead, while a few years in bottle have brought out savoury, earthy notes.

Easy and fresh. Serve it a touch cool (14–16°C) alongside salmon, roast chicken or mushroom dishes. Best over the next year or two.
