Description
Craggy Range Te Muna Road Sauvignon Blanc is a Martinborough take on the variety, quite different from Marlborough.
Martinborough's Sauvignon Blanc is grown on stony river terraces in a drier, windier climate than the South Island, which gives a tighter, more mineral wine with less of the tropical lift Marlborough is known for. The Te Muna vineyard was planted from 1999. The fruit is pressed gently and fermented cool, with a small portion in old oak for texture.
Serve at 9 degrees with oysters, goat's cheese or green vegetables. Drink over the next three years.
