Description
Croix & Courbet Côtes du Jura En Beaumont Savagnin Ouillé is a topped-up Savagnin from a named site.
En Beaumont lies in the Côtes du Jura, the long appellation running down the western edge of the Jura mountains on blue and grey marls. Savagnin here is usually aged under a veil of yeast, but this is made ouillé, the barrels kept topped up, so the wine keeps the grape's saline, citrus-driven character. Croix & Courbet began in 2019, when David Croix of Domaine des Croix in Beaune joined Damien Courbet in the Jura.
Serve at 11 degrees with Comté, roast poultry, trout or a mushroom risotto.
