Cullen Vanya Cabernet Sauvignon 2022

Cullen Vanya is a single-block Cabernet Sauvignon from the oldest vines on the Wilyabrup home vineyard.

Named for Vanya Cullen, who has made the wines since 1989, this comes from the block her parents planted in 1971, now among the oldest Cabernet in Margaret River. Old vines on gravelly loam give small berries and concentrated fruit. The estate is certified biodynamic and carbon neutral; the wine is sorted berry by berry, wild-fermented and matured in French oak barriques, a portion new.

Decant well ahead and serve at 17 degrees with aged beef, lamb or venison. It rewards twenty years.
