Description

Dal Zotto Barbera is a King Valley red made from the most widely planted red grape of Piedmont.

Barbera carries high natural acidity and low tannin, which makes it a food wine above all, and the King Valley's altitude in north-east Victoria preserves that acidity. The Dal Zotto family came from the Veneto and planted vines here in 1987, part of the Italian community that reshaped the valley. The wine is fermented in stainless steel and matured briefly in oak.

Serve at 16 degrees with tomato-based pasta, salumi or pizza. Drink over the next six years.
