Dalrymple Single Site Estate Coal River Valley Chardonnay is a precise southern Tasmanian Chardonnay from a single vineyard.

Although Dalrymple began in the north, the team also farms a vineyard in the Coal River Valley, near Richmond, north-east of Hobart. This area is one of Tasmania's driest, sitting in a rain shadow, with a long ripening season. The single-site bottlings are made to show what each place gives, and here that means nectarine and white peach from the warmer vintage, balanced by lemon curd, grapefruit, fine acidity and subtle French oak.

Serve lightly chilled with grilled crayfish, scallops, veal or a gruyère tart. It will build further texture over the next five years.
