Description

Dalrymple Single Site Estate Mt. Lord Pinot Noir is a brooding, velvety single-vineyard Pinot Noir.

The Mt. Lord bottling comes from one of Dalrymple's northern Tasmanian sites and is made in small quantities to express that one vineyard. It is darker and more restrained than the other single sites when young, with dark cherry, violet, blackberry, cola and roasted spices, plus a hint of vanilla from oak. With air it softens and turns more savoury, and the palate is plush and velvety with fine tannins and natural acidity.

Open it an hour ahead and serve at around 16 to 17 degrees with roast lamb, beef bourguignon or duck confit. It has the depth to cellar for many years.
