Dalrymple Single Site Estate Pipers River Chardonnay 2022

Dalrymple Single Site Estate Pipers River Chardonnay is a tight, energetic Chardonnay from the estate's original home in north-east Tasmania.

Pipers River, near the Bass Strait coast, is where Dalrymple began, and it remains the heart of the estate. The climate is cool and maritime, and the soils are deep red basalt, giving wines with high natural acidity and great length. This Chardonnay opens with grapefruit pith and lemon curd, moving to roasted nuts and nectarine. It is restrained in its youth, with concentration and energy balanced by fine acidity.

Chill lightly and enjoy with roast snapper, chicken with tarragon cream or a hard sheep's milk cheese. Give it time in the glass, or a few years in the cellar, to let the texture build.
