Dandelion Vineyards Lionheart of the Barossa Shiraz 375ml 2024

Dandelion Vineyards Lionheart of the Barossa Shiraz is a generous yet lively Shiraz from the Barossa, presented here as a 375ml half bottle.

Started in 2007, Dandelion Vineyards is the partnership of winemaker Elena Brooks and Zar Brooks, built around long-standing growers across South Australia. The Barossa supplies the fruit for Lionheart, a region where Shiraz has been planted since the mid 1800s and where the variety naturally gives ripe, dark fruit. From the 2024 vintage comes a wine of blackberry, plum and aniseed with herbal hints of bay and eucalypt. Tiny, powdery tannins give texture, and a clear streak of acidity keeps the finish bright and upright.

Serving it just below room temperature, around 16 to 18 degrees, brings out the best of the fruit. Try it with a lamb burger, a salami pizza or a slice of aged cheddar. Ready to drink on release.
