Dandelion Vineyards Love Letter from McLaren Vale Fiano is a crisp, textural white made from the southern Italian grape Fiano.
Fiano originates in Campania in southern Italy, and it has become one of McLaren Vale's success stories, thriving in the region's warm, Mediterranean-style climate while holding onto its acidity. Dandelion, founded in 2007 by winemaker Elena Brooks with Zar Brooks, makes it simply and cleanly. Expect a bright, fresh white with floral and herbal notes, orchard and stone fruit on a palate of good weight, and crisp, refreshing acidity.
Well chilled, it works with grilled calamari, spaghetti vongole or a chicken and fennel salad.
