Description

Dandelion Vineyards Twilight of the Adelaide Hills Chardonnay is a fine, mineral Chardonnay from the cool Adelaide Hills.

The Adelaide Hills rise in the Mount Lofty Ranges just east of Adelaide, and their altitude and cool nights have made the region one of Australia's leading sources of elegant Chardonnay. Dandelion Vineyards, founded by Elena and Zar Brooks in 2007, draws on growers here for this wine. The 2024 is pale gold, with lemon zest, lemon custard, white stone fruit and green apple, plus a slatey mineral note. A firm acid line runs through the palate, wrapped in citrus and stone fruit with a hint of grip, placing it somewhere between Chablis and white Burgundy in style.

Chill it, but not too hard, and serve with pan-fried snapper, roast chicken or a creamy mushroom pasta.
