Description

Dawson James Island Belle Chardonnay is a fresh, approachable Tasmanian Chardonnay made for drinking young.

The fruit is grown in southern Tasmania's Derwent Valley, sheltered and fairly dry, with a long, cool season that keeps the grapes fresh and pure. This is the earlier-drinking tier of the stable, skipping the extended bottle age of the flagship wines, with oak kept in a supporting role. Peter Dawson and Tim James, both with long careers at Hardys, are the pair behind it.

Crisp and clean, with citrus and white stone fruit. Serve at 8–10°C with seafood, chicken salads or a creamy pasta.
