Denton Deco Ribolla Gialla 2024

Denton Deco Ribolla Gialla 2024 is a skin-contact white made from Ribolla Gialla in the Yarra Valley, Victoria, Australia.

The fruit comes from the lower part of Block 5D, a 0.4-hectare parcel on the cooler south-eastern slope of Denton's View Hill vineyard, where the soil is sandstone and siltstone flecked with ironstone. The wine is made with skin contact, which is the traditional handling for Ribolla Gialla in Friuli and north-eastern Italy, and it builds texture and a deeper colour than a conventional white pressing would.

Expect a fresh, textural white with orchard and citrus fruit, a savoury edge and a light grip from the skins rather than tannic weight. Serve at 10 to 12 degrees, not too cold, with charcuterie, roast vegetables, hard cheese or grilled chicken.
