Deviation Road Loftia Vintage Brut 2023

Deviation Road Loftia Vintage Brut is an elegant Adelaide Hills sparkling blending Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Meunier.

The Laurie family, with five generations of winemaking behind them, makes this wine at their Adelaide Hills estate using the traditional method. Fruit comes from high, cool-climate vineyards and, after the second fermentation in bottle, the wine rests on lees for at least three years. The 2023 brings Meunier into the blend alongside Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, with aromas of pear, candied lemon zest, fresh pastry and nougat. It is crisp and zesty, with a restrained complexity from its time on lees.

Open it well chilled for a celebration or a long lunch. Try it with prawn cocktails, tempura vegetables or a soft washed-rind cheese.
