Deviation Road Pinot Noir 2021

Deviation Road Pinot Noir is a structured, cool-climate Pinot Noir from the Adelaide Hills.

Kate and Hamish Laurie farm high-altitude vineyards in the Adelaide Hills, drawing on five generations of family winemaking. Cool nights and a long season give Pinot Noir time to build flavour while keeping its elegance. The 2021 is complex and structural, with gravelly tannins and lifted sweet spice opening to sour cherry, dense plum and herbal notes. The wine is built to show the finesse that cool, high sites give the grape, with savoury complexity building as it ages.

Serve a little below room temperature, around 15 to 17 degrees, with duck breast, a mushroom tart or grilled quail. With some bottle age now, it is a good time to open it.
