Dog Point Sauvignon Blanc comes from established vineyards in Marlborough's Southern Valleys.

Ivan Sutherland and James Healy spent years as viticulturist and winemaker at Cloudy Bay before starting their own label in 2002, working land the Sutherland family planted in 1979. The vineyards are certified organic, yields are kept low, and the wine is fermented cool in stainless steel so the fruit speaks directly. Marlborough's wide day-night temperature range is what gives Sauvignon Blanc its aromatic lift.

Serve at 9 degrees with oysters, goat's cheese or green vegetables. Drink over the next three years.
