Domaine Albert Mann Riesling 2024

Domaine Albert Mann Riesling is the domaine's dry, village-level Riesling from Wettolsheim in Alsace.

Several parcels on limestone, marl and granite around the village go into this bottling. The Barthelmé family holdings were pieced together from vineyards across Wettolsheim and neighbouring Haut-Rhin villages, organic since the 1990s and now certified biodynamic. Yields are low, harvest is by hand, and the cellar work is minimal: whole-bunch pressing, wild-yeast ferments and time on lees in old foudres and tank. It's finished dry, with the natural acidity left alone.

Taut, citrusy and stony. Pour it at 8–10°C with trout, pork terrine, choucroute or freshly shucked oysters, or put a few bottles away for later.
