Domaine Albert Mann Riesling Schlossberg Grand Cru 2024

Domaine Albert Mann Riesling Schlossberg Grand Cru is a dry, tightly wound Riesling from a terraced granite grand cru in Alsace.

The first vineyard in the region ever classified grand cru climbs in steps above Kientzheim and Kaysersberg, on weathered rock that makes Riesling tight, mineral and slow to open. The Barthelmé family holds parcels here and works them biodynamically, with low yields and hand harvesting. After whole-bunch pressing and a wild-yeast ferment, the wine spends months on fine lees in neutral vessels to gain texture. It is bottled dry and needs time: reserved when young, much more rewarding with patience.

High-toned and firmly structured, with real length. At 10–12°C it suits oysters, sashimi, poached trout or roast chicken; decant a young bottle if you can't wait.
