Description

Domaine Antoine Jobard Meursault is a village blend from three lieux-dits totalling 0.66 hectares, including a parcel of vines up to 50 years old.

Meursault is the largest of the great white villages of the Côte de Beaune and has no grand cru, so its reputation rests on village and premier cru wine from growers who know their parcels. Antoine Jobard draws this bottling from Les Corbins, Les Chaumes de Narvaux and Sous la Velle, with vine age varying by parcel from 16 to 50 years; the Corbins holding sits directly beside Vincent Dancer's. The deeper clays of Les Corbins bring flesh to the blend, while Les Chaumes de Narvaux, high on the Côte, supplies the mineral edge. The wine was fermented on indigenous yeasts and aged in predominantly older barrels, the family's long-standing preference, which gives a Meursault that is firm and reductive in youth rather than immediately buttery.

Best from three years and good for a decade or more. Serve at 10-12°C with roast chicken, blue-eye trevalla or a mature comté.

*Every effort is made to ensure the current vintage is accurate; however, variations can occur. If you are after a specific vintage, please contact us prior to ordering.
