Domaine Benjamin et David Duclaux Côte-Rôtie 'La Germine' is a poised, aromatic red from Côte-Rôtie, the northern Rhône appellation renowned for marrying Syrah's power with real perfume and finesse.

Côte-Rôtie's steep, terraced vineyards rise sharply from the Rhône near the village of Ampuis, their granite and schist soils and sheltered, sun-facing slopes giving Syrah both ripeness and lift, often aided by a small co-fermented portion of the white grape Viognier. Domaine Benjamin et David Duclaux is a family estate run by brothers Benjamin and David, who farm multiple parcels across the appellation and bottle several distinct sites, including La Germine, separately, so that each wine reflects the character of its particular terroir.

Savoury and structured, this is a red for those who love Syrah with aromatic complexity as much as substance, well suited to slow-cooked, richer dishes and more elevated occasions.
