Domaine Camille Thiriet Bourgogne Rouge En La Place 2024

Bourgogne Rouge "En La Place" is a single-vineyard Pinot Noir from Domaine Camille Thiriet, made from the same named parcel as the domaine's white bottling, showing a lighter, perfumed style typical of Camille's contemporary approach to the Côte de Nuits.

Camille Thiriet started from scratch in Burgundy, building the domaine from nothing since her first vintage in 2016 - a real achievement in a region where vineyard land rarely comes up for sale. Based around Corgoloin and Comblanchien in the Côte de Nuits, she now farms six hectares (following the recent acquisition of Domaine Gilles Jourdan) alongside a négociant business under the Maison C. Thiriet label, sourcing carefully from growers she trusts. The wines are made with real precision and sometimes a portion of whole-cluster fermentation, favouring a lighter, more perfumed, contemporary style over heavier, more traditional Burgundy.

Pure and fragrant with red cherry and light spice, it's an easy, versatile red for the table; serve lightly chilled at around 14-16 degrees with charcuterie or roast poultry.
