Domaine Camille Thiriet Côte de Nuits-Villages Rouge Clos Magny 2024

Côte de Nuits-Villages "Clos Magny" is a single-vineyard Pinot Noir from Domaine Camille Thiriet, sourced from the walled Clos Magny parcel, one of the more distinctive named sites in the domaine's growing portfolio of Côte de Nuits-Villages bottlings.

Camille Thiriet started from scratch in Burgundy, building the domaine from nothing since her first vintage in 2016 - a real achievement in a region where vineyard land rarely comes up for sale. Based around Corgoloin and Comblanchien in the Côte de Nuits, she now farms six hectares (following the recent acquisition of Domaine Gilles Jourdan) alongside a négociant business under the Maison C. Thiriet label, sourcing carefully from growers she trusts. The wines are made with real precision and sometimes a portion of whole-cluster fermentation, favouring a lighter, more perfumed, contemporary style over heavier, more traditional Burgundy.

Dense yet elegant, with dark fruit and fine tannin, it's well suited to roasted or braised red meats; serve at around 15-17 degrees.
