Domaine Camille Thiriet Côte de Nuits-Villages Rouge La Montagne 2024

Côte de Nuits-Villages "La Montagne" is a single-vineyard Pinot Noir from Domaine Camille Thiriet, another of the domaine's parcel-specific Côte de Nuits-Villages bottlings, chosen to highlight the character of this particular slope.

Camille Thiriet started from scratch in Burgundy, building the domaine from nothing since her first vintage in 2016 - a real achievement in a region where vineyard land rarely comes up for sale. Based around Corgoloin and Comblanchien in the Côte de Nuits, she now farms six hectares (following the recent acquisition of Domaine Gilles Jourdan) alongside a négociant business under the Maison C. Thiriet label, sourcing carefully from growers she trusts. The wines are made with real precision and sometimes a portion of whole-cluster fermentation, favouring a lighter, more perfumed, contemporary style over heavier, more traditional Burgundy.

Ripe and spicy with good depth, it's a fine match for roast lamb or duck; serve at around 15-17 degrees.
