Domaine de l'Agramante Cuvée Ciaülà Rouge 2022

Cuvée Ciaülà Rouge is a Côtes du Rhône blend of Counoise, Grenache and Syrah from Domaine de l'Agramante, grown across sandy-silty parcels exposed to the strong Mediterranean winds of the southern Rhône Valley.

The domaine is run by Carlo La Rocca, who left a career in chemical engineering to become a vigneron, farming without pesticides or herbicides and picking entirely by hand into small crates for careful sorting. Ciaülà, the cuvée's name, is a nod to a character from Pirandello that stayed with La Rocca from childhood, and the wine itself is something of a personal statement - his own transformation into a winemaker.

Fruity, spicy and full through the palate, it's a generous, food-friendly red for roasted meats or a herb-heavy Provençal table; serve at around 16-17 degrees.
