Description

Domaine de la Combe Muscadet Sèvre et Maine Sur Lie comes from the Atlantic end of the Loire.

Muscadet is made from Melon de Bourgogne, a variety that moved west from Burgundy after a devastating frost in 1709 and found a home near Nantes. Sur lie means the wine stays on its fermentation lees through winter and is bottled directly off them, which adds texture and a faint prickle. Sèvre et Maine is the best of the sub-zones.

Serve cold at 9 degrees with oysters, mussels or any shellfish at all. Drink within four years.
