Description
Domaine de Rimauresq 1er Cru Classé Rosé is a benchmark rosé from one of the founding classified growths of the Côtes de Provence.
Domaine de Rimauresq lies in Pignans in the Var, its vineyard replanted after phylloxera in 1882 and formally recognised as a Cru Classé in 1955, one of a small handful of Côtes de Provence estates to hold the title. Under the ownership of the Wemyss family since 1988, the property benefits from a distinctive microclimate of altitude, north-westerly exposure and the cooling influence of both the mistral and the nearby Maures mountains, while its poor, mineral-rich soils naturally limit yields. Nine grape varieties are grown across mature vines averaging around thirty years old, farmed with cover cropping and traditional Royat cordon pruning, and harvested at night to preserve freshness.
A polished, refined rosé, it suits fine dining and more considered summer entertaining, and is offered here in a generous magnum format ideal for sharing.
