Description

Domaine des Carlines En Beaumont Savagnin is a single-vineyard Savagnin from the Jura, rich yet powerful and built to age.

Savagnin is the Jura's great white grape, famous as the variety behind vin jaune. This bottling comes from the En Beaumont site, farmed by Patrick and Sophie Ligeron, who founded their domaine in 2015 at Menétru-le-Vignoble near Château-Chalon. The wine is fermented with natural yeasts and aged in old Burgundy barrels. The 2023 is warm yellow, with ripe apricot, apple, citrus and a peppery note, and has the balance and structure to develop in bottle.

Serve cool, around 10 to 12 degrees, with Comté, chicken in a creamy morel sauce or roast pork. It will cellar well.
