Domaine du Salut Graves Rouge Organic 2024

Domaine du Salut Graves Rouge is an organically farmed red Bordeaux from the Graves appellation south of the city of Bordeaux, an appellation known for elegant, gravel-driven reds.

Graves is the appellation that gives Bordeaux its name, its gravel soils running south from the city towards Sauternes and producing reds that are typically softer and more approachable in youth than the wines of the Médoc. Domaine du Salut is a small, family-run estate based in Cérons, within the Graves appellation, farmed organically and committed to expressing this gravel-and-sand terroir in both its red and white wines. The red is a traditional blend led by Merlot alongside Cabernet Sauvignon.

This is a supple, food-friendly red Bordeaux, well suited to roast meats, hard cheeses and everyday hearty cooking.
