Domaine Dubost Fleurie 'Le Vivier' 2020

Domaine Dubost Fleurie 'Le Vivier' is a light-bodied, fragrant Gamay from the granite slopes of the Fleurie cru in Beaujolais.

Decomposed pink granite gives Gamay a lighter frame and a floral perfume in this cru, often described as the most graceful of the ten. The family estate works several crus alongside its village wines, and this named parcel is bottled on its own. Grapes are hand-picked and fermented whole-bunch in the traditional semi-carbonic way, drawing out colour and aroma while keeping tannin soft. Tank and older wood are used for maturation, so nothing gets in the way of the fruit.

Red berries and violets, juicy and soft. Serve lightly chilled at 13–15°C with charcuterie, roast chicken, pork or a simple cheese board.
