Description

Domaine Dugat-Py Auxey-Duresses "Sur Melin" is a single-vineyard village red from a side valley in the Côte de Beaune.

Auxey-Duresses lies in a valley running west from Meursault and Monthélie, and Sur Melin is a named site within the village appellation. Bernard Dugat-Py and his son Loïc work from cellars in the heart of Gevrey-Chambertin, part of which occupy a medieval tithe building. The domaine is small, farmed organically and known for severe crop levels. Fruit is picked by hand and sorted hard, fermented in small lots and matured in oak.

Serve at about 15 degrees with roast poultry, pork or soft cheeses.
