Description
Domaine Dugat-Py Chorey-lès-Beaune Très Vieilles Vignes is a village red from very old vines on the flatter ground north of Beaune.
Chorey-lès-Beaune sits below Aloxe-Corton and Savigny, and its gentler, deeper soils give approachable Pinot Noir. Bernard Dugat-Py and his son Loïc work from cellars in the heart of Gevrey-Chambertin, part of which occupy a medieval tithe building. The domaine is small, farmed organically and known for severe crop levels. Fruit is picked by hand and sorted hard, fermented in small lots and matured in oak.
Serve at about 15 degrees with roast chicken, charcuterie or a cheese board.
