Description
Domaine Dureuil-Janthial Bourgogne Rouge is a regional wine made almost entirely from Côte de Nuits vineyards, principally at Prémeaux.
Vincent Dureuil-Janthial is based at Rully in the Côte Chalonnaise, but this estate-bottled Bourgogne rouge traditionally comes from parcels further north in the Côte de Nuits: half a hectare at Prémeaux and a third of a hectare at Puligny. The vines now average over 40 years, and the wine gets the same attention in the cellar as the rest of the range, which is why it consistently drinks above its classification and could pass for a village wine. It is an honest, well-made Pinot Noir with the perfume and lift Dureuil coaxes from his reds, and it remains one of the better-value regional Burgundies in the Bibendum portfolio.
Drinking well now and over the next four or five years. Serve at 16-18°C with charcuterie, roast chicken or a mushroom tart.
*Every effort is made to ensure the current vintage is accurate; however, variations can occur. If you are after a specific vintage, please contact us prior to ordering.
