Description
Domaine Henri Germain Meursault is a village blend assembled from seven separate lieux-dits across the commune.
Meursault is the largest of the great white wine villages of the Côte de Beaune, and the classic village bottling has always been a blend that draws on sites of different aspect and soil. Germain's is now sourced from seven lieux-dits. Les Vireuils supplies the racy edge, Clos du Cromin on the Volnay side of the commune brings depth and weight, and Les Pellans, right on the Puligny border, adds freshness; Moulin à Judas, Dressoles and two further parcels complete the assemblage. Vine age ranges from 15 to 70 years. The fruit is whole-bunch pressed and fermented with indigenous yeasts, then raised in barrel with a small proportion of new wood before the parcels are blended in tank ahead of bottling.
Ready at two years and comfortable for eight. Serve at 10-12°C with roast chicken, scallops or a gratin of white fish.
*Every effort is made to ensure the current vintage is accurate; however, variations can occur. If you are after a specific vintage, please contact us prior to ordering.
