Domaine Hubert & Laurent Lignier Nuits-Saint-Georges 'Les Poisets' is a single-vineyard red Burgundy from the lieu-dit Les Poisets, produced by a family estate whose home lies just north in Morey-Saint-Denis.

Nuits-Saint-Georges is the southernmost major red-wine commune of the Côte de Nuits, known for structured, savoury Pinot Noir grown on varied limestone and marl soils. Domaine Hubert & Laurent Lignier, founded in 1885 and today guided by father and son from its base in Morey-Saint-Denis, farms this and its other Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune holdings without synthetic chemicals, working old vines and ageing its wines patiently in barrel before bottling unfiltered.

A structured, savoury red built for the table, it rewards some cellar time as much as it does earlier drinking.
