Domaine Laurent-Savoye Fleurie La Cadole 2024

Domaine Laurent-Savoye Fleurie La Cadole takes its name from a small stone hut that stands among the vines.

Fleurie is the most perfumed of the ten Beaujolais crus, and the one-point-eight hectares held here sit on pink granite that lends lift and fine tannin. Grapes come in by hand and are vinified without fuss, then raised in tank so the aromatics stay intact. Bottling is early, which protects that freshness.

Violet and blackcurrant lead the nose; the palate is silky, with elegant tannin and ripe fruit running through the finish. Fifteen degrees suits it, alongside duck, pork belly or a mushroom tart.
