Domaine Marc Sorrel Hermitage Le Gréal is a single-vineyard Syrah from one of the estate's finest parcels on the Hermitage hill in the northern Rhône.

Hermitage is one of France's oldest and most prestigious appellations, its steep granite hill overlooking the Rhône near Tain-l'Hermitage long regarded as producing some of the world's most powerful and long-lived Syrah. Domaine Marc Sorrel is a small, well-respected family estate with vines on some of the hill's best-known sites, and Le Gréal comes from a parcel within the celebrated Le Méal lieu-dit, prized for its stony, sun-drenched soils and the depth and concentration they bring to the wine.

This is a serious, age-worthy red, built for the cellar and best suited to rich roasted or braised meats.
