Domaine Naturaliste Discovery Cabernet Sauvignon is an easy-going Margaret River Cabernet and the first step into Bruce Dukes' range.

Cape Naturaliste, the headland close to the vineyards, gave the label its name. Bruce Dukes made wine for plenty of the region's other producers for years before building his own brand. This entry-level Cabernet uses regional fruit and spends time in oak for some structure, but it's made to drink without long cellaring.

Expect blackcurrant, bay leaf and cedar, with firm, fine tannins and a full body. It'll happily sit for a few years too. Pour at 16–18°C with lamb cutlets, steak or a mushroom risotto.
