Domaine Naturaliste Le Naturaliste Cabernet Franc is a structured, age-worthy Margaret River red that puts Cabernet Franc on its own.

California is where Bruce Dukes trained and first worked, before he moved to the region and spent years making wine for other producers. At the top of his own range sits this rare solo bottling of a grape the district mostly uses for blending. The fruit is selected, then aged in French oak for a firm, long-lived style.

Expect perfume and savoury depth over firm tannins. It's happiest after an hour in a decanter, at 16–18°C, with roast duck, lamb or aged hard cheese, and it will keep improving in bottle.
