Domaine Naturaliste Purus Chardonnay 2023

Domaine Naturaliste Purus Chardonnay is a premium, textural Margaret River Chardonnay made with minimal additions.

As the name suggests, very little is added in the winery. Wild fermentation in French oak builds complexity, and the texture is fuller and more layered than the estate's other Chardonnay. The fruit grows on gravelly, ironstone-rich soils, and the winemaker, Bruce Dukes, learnt his craft in California.

Complex and textural, with fine acidity carrying the finish. Pair it with crayfish, pork belly or creamy mushroom dishes at 10–12°C, and expect it to gain complexity over several years.
