Domaine Perrot-Minot Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru 'La Riotte' VV 2023

Domaine Perrot-Minot Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru 'La Riotte' VV is a premier cru Pinot Noir from old vines in La Riotte, a climat on the northern edge of Morey-Saint-Denis bordering Chambolle-Musigny.

The Perrot-Minot name has been attached to this Morey-Saint-Denis estate since 1963, when Marie-France Merme married Henri Perrot-Minot; today it is run by their son Christophe, who took the reins in 1993 after working as a wine broker. Since 2006 he has moved the domaine toward a lighter, more precise style, favouring low yields, minimal new oak and unfined, unfiltered bottling across some 20 hectares of premier cru and grand cru terroir spanning the Côte de Nuits.

Combining the structure typical of Morey-Saint-Denis with a touch of Chambolle's perfume, this is a polished, food-friendly red suited to roast meats and firm cheeses.
