Domaine Raoul Gautherin & Fils Petit Chablis 'La Terre de Mon Père' 2024

Domaine Raoul Gautherin & Fils Petit Chablis 'La Terre de Mon Père' is a Chardonnay from the lightest, freshest tier of the Chablis hierarchy, its name a nod to the family's own vineyard heritage.

Petit Chablis is grown on higher, outlying plateau sites around the Chablis appellation, generally on Portlandian limestone rather than the Kimmeridgian marl of the village, premier cru and grand cru vineyards, giving wines that are typically lighter and more overtly citrusy. The vineyard is farmed by Domaine Raoul Gautherin & Fils, a Gautherin family estate based in the village of Chablis with roots stretching back centuries, today run by Alain and Adrien Gautherin in a rigorous, reasoned and sustainable way.

Crisp and easy-drinking, it is a great everyday introduction to Chablis, well matched with light seafood, salads and simple white fish.
