Domaine Roblet-Monnot Volnay 1er Cru 'Les Vignes de Madeleine' is a premier cru Pinot Noir from the Les Vignes de Madeleine climat in Volnay, on Burgundy's Côte de Beaune.

The Volnay estate traces back to 1865, when Victor Delagrange first planted vines here; Pascal Roblet took over in 1990, renamed it Domaine Roblet-Monnot and became one of the region's early adopters of biodynamic farming, converting in 1997. Vines are planted at high density and kept to low yields, with some parcels still ploughed by horse to protect the soil, and grapes are hand-sorted before a long, gentle vinification with extended ageing in barrel prior to unfined, unfiltered bottling.

Elegant and finely structured, this is a wine for those who love the perfumed, silky character Volnay is known for, well matched to roast poultry and softer cheeses.
