Domaine Roblet-Monnot Volnay 'Saint-François' 2020

Domaine Roblet-Monnot Volnay 'Saint-François' is a village-level Pinot Noir blended from several parcels across Volnay, named by Pascal Roblet in tribute to his father, François.

Domaine Roblet-Monnot has its roots in 1865, when Victor Delagrange founded the estate in Volnay; Pascal Roblet took charge in 1990 and set about converting the vineyards to biodynamic farming, one of the first growers in the region to do so. High-density planting, restricted yields, horse-ploughing in parts of the vineyard and meticulous hand-sorting all feed into a traditional winemaking approach, with long élevage in barrel and bottling without fining or filtration.

An approachable, honestly made expression of Volnay, this is a versatile red suited to roast poultry, charcuterie and everyday dining.
