Domaine Santa Duc Côtes du Rhône 'Le Serre du Rieu' Blanc 2023

Domaine Santa Duc Côtes du Rhône 'Le Serre du Rieu' Blanc is a dry southern Rhône white built on Grenache Blanc, Clairette and Roussanne.

From the 1980s Yves Gras made the family name at Gigondas with dense, long-lived reds, and the domaine has since spread into the surrounding countryside, choosing parcels for freshness over power. It is certified organic and farmed biodynamically. Grenache Blanc leads this white, grown with the other two varieties on limestone and sandy soils. Early picking holds the acidity, and after a gentle pressing the wine ferments and ages mostly in tank and older wood.

Textural and mid-weight, with citrus, white peach and a dry, herbal finish. Serve at 10–12°C with grilled fish, herby roast chicken or Provençal vegetables.
