Domaine Saumaize-Michelin Pouilly-Fuissé 'Les Courtelongs' 2023

Domaine Saumaize-Michelin Pouilly-Fuissé 'Les Courtelongs' is a village-level Chardonnay from one of the benchmark estates of the Mâconnais, in southern Burgundy.

Based in Vergisson, beneath the village's landmark limestone rock, the domaine was built by Roger and Christine Saumaize-Michelin into one of the most respected names in Pouilly-Fuissé. The estate farms biodynamically, tilling the soil regularly to encourage microbial life and carrying out disbudding, leaf-thinning and picking by hand. 'Les Courtelongs' is one of several named parcels the domaine bottles separately, drawn from vines on the limestone and marl slopes that surround Vergisson and neighbouring Solutré.

A pure, mineral-driven white, it is a versatile match for shellfish, roast poultry and other dishes that call for a bright, food-friendly Burgundy.
