Description

Domaine Stéphane Magnien Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru is a Pinot Noir from one of the Côte de Nuits' celebrated grand cru vineyards.

Charmes-Chambertin lies on the grand cru hillside of Gevrey-Chambertin, adjoining the great Chambertin vineyard itself, and is planted on the deeper, more gravelly soils toward the base of the slope. Domaine Stéphane Magnien, based in nearby Morey-Saint-Denis, farms this and other prized Côte de Nuits sites with a traditional, hands-on philosophy, working sustainably and without pesticides across its old-vine parcels to let the terroir speak clearly in the finished wine.

A structured and complex grand cru Burgundy red, suited to special occasions and considered cellaring.
