Domaine Stéphane Magnien Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru "Les Monts Luisants" is a red Burgundy from a premier cru vineyard on the upper slopes above the village, an unusual and distinctive site within the Côte de Nuits.

Les Monts Luisants sits at the highest, most exposed point of Morey-Saint-Denis' premier cru vineyards, its thin topsoil over hard limestone traditionally associated with the appellation's rare white wines and, increasingly, with taut, mineral-driven Pinot Noir. Domaine Stéphane Magnien is a small family estate in the village, where Stéphane Magnien tends a collection of old parcels with a hands-on, low-intervention approach, aiming for wines that reflect the soil and exposure of each individual climat rather than a uniform house style.

A precise, mineral-accented red with real ageing potential, it is well suited to roast poultry, mushroom dishes or a well-aged Burgundian cheese.
