Domaine Stéphane Magnien Morey-Saint-Denis Vieilles Vignes MAGNUM is a village red Burgundy in large format, drawn from the oldest vines the family farms.

Between Gevrey-Chambertin and Chambolle-Musigny on the Côte de Nuits sits a commune that tends to get read as the quiet one, though its limestone-rich slopes are the same as those of its louder neighbours. The estate is small and family-run, with its cellar in the village itself. Stéphane works the old vines by hand and keeps his touch light once the fruit is in, which leaves the character of the site intact.

The big bottle slows everything down, so expect this to unwind more slowly than a standard 750ml. Serve at 15-16°C with roast chicken, charcuterie or a plain bistro steak.
